The first thing that comes to mind when you look at this matchup has to be “This team beat Oregon?” Stanford comes into this one with the wheels not just having fallen off, but in a ditch and engulfed in flame. Notre Dame, on the other hand, is coming in on fire in the good kind of way. Fresh off a few great outings, they seem to be hitting their stride to end the season. One has to wonder what a matchup with Cincinnati would look like now. Perhaps it would be the Irish poised for another #CFP berth.
